BCAM is busier than ever these days, organizing breast cancer prevention workshops for women’s groups and in classrooms, island-wide, speaking with media about environmental toxins and their links to breast cancer and raising public awareness through large-scale events like the Lanie Melamed Memorial Lecture, which has doubled in attendance in the past two years.

As we grow, fundraising is an ongoing concern. The goal is to spend as little time as possible fundraising so that we can focus our attention on the work at hand. But we do have to finance BCAM’s growing portfolio of activities. The BCAM Leadership Circle monthly donor program is an initiative that will help us continue to advocate for breast cancer prevention.

As BCAM memberships come up for renewal, we will be inviting you to join the BCAM Leadership Circle monthly donor program. Those who join will be able to stop writing cheques or worrying about remembering to renew. Your donation will be charged to your credit card in monthly installments, and you will receive a tax receipt at the end of the year.

The benefits for BCAM include reduced administrative costs, the potential for more revenue from membership dues, and the security of knowing how much money will be coming in on a monthly basis. This will be immensely helpful in long-term planning.
