A recent David Suzuki Foundation newsletter announces that the sale and use of hundreds of lawn and garden pesticides were banned when the Ontario government passed the Cosmetic Pesticide Act. According to the Foundation, provincial governments in New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island are negotiating a ban, and the Foundation is gearing up to push a ban in British Columbia.
Quebec, like Ontario already has a ban on cosmetic pesticides.
