Fun With Fundraising
Folksinger and instrumentalist, Gerry Goodfriend, entertained a crowd of enthusiastic fans on April 27 at The Green Room on St. Lawrence Blvd. BCAM thanks Gerry and his wife, Carol Secter, for organizing the event which raised over $700. Further thanks go to The Green Room for hosting the concert.

On May 2nd, members of BCAM participated in the Annual Fundraising walk started nine years ago by the Girl Guides of Greenfield Park to support the goal of breast cancer prevention. Although the walk has grown to include the wider Greenfield Park Community, the Guides, Sparks, Brownies and their leaders were out in force to carry our banner and to inspire us with their enthusiasm. Getting into the spirit were the members of the Ladies’ Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch # 94 of Greenfield Park, who held a simultaneous bingo game raising $1,000 in addition to the $830 raised by the marchers. BCAM thanks Loretta Fennell who organized the march this year and also the ladies of Branch #94 for their support.
